Re: [Isis-fish-users] can not open database
Hi Silvia 1) I found a mistake in the hake growth equation, T0 is declared as "T0" but then "t0" is used in the equation, please correct. 2) I noticed you are using the previous bersion, you can now download the latest 4.4.1.0. 3) Regarding your simulation Apparently you are trying to apply an effort reduction but there are no strategies selected. As for the population you need to clic on the strategy to select them for the simulation. Let me know if it works. 4) Attached you'll find a simulation I managed to run. Please unzip it in the simulation folder (C:\Users\youraccount\isis-fish-4\isis-database\simulations) with ISIS-Fish close. Then launch ISIS and in the simulation launch interface, try to "load old simulation" and select this one. Hopefully it should work... (at least with version 4.4.1.0) Keep in touch Best, Sigrid 2018-04-23 9:28 GMT+02:00 Silvia Angelini <s.angelini@an.ismar.cnr.it>:

Hi Silvia, could you please copy the message contained in the window that appears when you clic "show simulation log"? Also could you send the file parameter.properties in the folder named after you simulation at this location: isis-fish-4\isis-database\simulations\ thank you

Hi Sigrid,
I've managed to open the database, thanks for the suggestions! :)
However the case study is not running (or I'm not launching the simulation in the right way), it's stops at month 0. In attached you can find the db.
Thank you so much for your help.

Hi Silvia,
Do you already have the database charged in ISIS-Fish (I mean your own database)? if so, try to delete it (Region/remove locally OR if it doesn't work close ISIS-Fish and delete the region folder in isis-fish-4/isis-database/regions) and then to import the new database. I know this is a bug, we used to have and might not be corrected in this version.
If you still fail in importing the region after that, could you please copy the full message written under "Details" in the error window and send it to the list together with the database?
Thank you
Sigrid
Hi Sigrid,
I've tried to open the db you sent us, but unfortunately it didn't work. I've tried using two different ISIS-Fish versions (4.4.0.2 and 4.4.1.0) but nothing; I've got this java error 'java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException'. Can you help me to solve the problem?
Thank you so much in advance for your help.

Hi Silvia and all,
Thanks for sending your database.
Actually there was 2 databases in the zip. I worked on SoS_2018. However there should only be one in the zip. How did you export them ? using the menu/export a region ?
I had a look and managed to fix a few bugs (mainly in the equations : missing ";" or "lenght" instead of "length"). Nothing bad really but java is picky. You can "open the editor" for each equation and "check" them to avoid syntaxic errors like these.
I used the button "check the region" at the root of the tree which indicates problems in the DB.
Simulations are running for me with dummy numbers. Can you try again on your side using the attached DB?
Congrats on this first try.
Regards,
Sigrid
